Advanced Structure Analysis

ASTRA provides  advanced crystal structure analysis of almost any kind of crystalline materials except proteins. Traditional specialization are modulated structures. ASTRA currently runs three laboratories utilizing complementary diffraction methods: x-ray diffraction on single crystals, x-ray diffraction on powders and electron diffraction tomography on microcrystals. For solution of crystal structures, inhouse developed methods and programs are used: Superflip, Jana2006 and Dyngo. The throughput of ASTRA is about 500 samples per year.
